The heart behind Greenhill<\/h1>\r\n

Greenhill was built on one simple conviction: that every child deserves the personal love and attention that only a small, dedicated school can offer.<\/p>\r\n

My love for children started when I was still at school myself. In my Grade 10 year I was given the opportunity to look after premature twins. They were so tiny and fragile you could almost see through their skin. For several years I spent my free time, weekends and holidays with them. Later I cared for the baby girl of close friends, and honestly, I grabbed every chance I could to play \"teacher\".<\/p>\r\n

After school I earned my teaching degree part-time while working full-time at a school. Degree in hand, I moved to another school, and that is where I realised I simply didn't agree with how most places raise children. I knew it could be done differently.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

So I started my own little school. It was a frightening step. We lived in a complex, where running a small school was heavily frowned upon, but it was our only option. We grew quickly, and my husband and I had to move to a bigger place. In the year we rented a house, we grew from 4 children to almost 15, exactly according to plan, because our goal has always been to stay small and intimate.<\/p>\r\n

In 2023 we were given the opportunity to buy a beautiful, newly renovated guest house. We could divide it into our private home and my dream school. We are quite literally the definition of a home away from home.<\/p>\r\n

Since then I have been blessed to run my dream school every day, deliberately small, so that your loved one never becomes just a number.<\/p>\r\n

My husband is a full-time mechanical engineer, but I am fortunate enough to also have him as my personal school assistant, and he looks after all our finances. Together with our six wonderful staff members, our two beautiful border collies who adore the children (Oliver \"works\" full-time at the school, every single day), and Sebastian, the stray cat we adopted a few months ago, Greenhill is a true family: built on our Christian values, where children live, learn and love alongside our animals.<\/p>\r\n Come meet us<\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
